Tomatoes — and their active components — have received lots of attention for their link to prostate cancer prevention.   This attention has inspired several companies to market pure lycopene products.   New research shows that these “now with Lycopene” supplement products may not be as good as the advertising suggests.   A review by researchers from the University of California, Oklahoma State, and the Texas Women’s University considered the results of several clinical trials conducted between 1998 and 2006 and showed that lycopene alone is not what is needed.   But wait, there’s more news…..
